André Chesnay
After having been classified among Canada’s best junior players, André received a tennis grant for Mississippi State University in 1975. From 1977 to 1988, he was co-director of the Val des Arbres tennis school in Laval. Member of the Teaching Commission, he was named coach of the Quebec team for two consecutive years. In 1989, during a one-year stay in Guinea, West Africa, he established tennis teaching programs. From 1990 to 2002, he was marketing director for the Canadian division of the Prince, manufacturer of sports equipment and tennis racquets. In 2002, he acquired the Interclub of the Laurentides.
André Lagounaris
Wearing his usual smile, André Lagounaris generously shares his tennis experience and helps his students discover new ways of developing their game. A tennis pro himself, he studied nutrition and tennis club management in the United States and had the good fortune to work with international-calibre tennis professionals there. An eager student of new trends, this agile player makes for an excellent tennis partner! A class or private clinic with this motivated and trained instructor will make you a fan! Andre is a level 2 graduate and has been a member of the USPTA (United States Professional Tennis Association) since 1987, as well as a graduate of Tennis Canada and member of the Canada’s Tennis Professionals Association.
Jean Dubrule
A tennis devotee since 1975 after being ranked 11th in Québec in the open class…which in turn won him a bursary to Ferris Stade University, Jean Dubrule was the first to graduate with a B.A. in Professional Tennis Management, while participating at the same time in N.C.A.A. competitions. He is still actively competing, in the veteran class. He has been teaching tennis since 1979, and has been the director of the Rockland Sport and Tennis Club and of the Monkland Tennis Centre.
Garry Lindner
Artistic, curious and athletic, Garry is a multi-talented person as impressive in music, martial arts and skiing as he is in tennis. Very few people offer as many aptitudes and interests. He’s a jack of all trades and master of many…and knows how to share his gifts! Garry was a tennis instructor in Val-David and at the Lac Marois tennis club before joining the Interclub of the Laurentides team in 2003. He is a Level 1 certified tennis instructor by Tennis Canada.
Marc-André Pagé
Young and passionate about tennis, Marc-Andre tackles his sport with technique and precision. His certification as instructor and coach, as well as his experience as coach of the Laurentides’ delegation to the Quebec Games from 2001 to 2003 attest to his skills. Tennis instructor at the Interclub since 1999, he is also a member of the tennis team of the University of Montreal and tennis coordinator for the town of Saint-Jérôme. Marc-Andre’s smile, enthusiasm and patience bring members a great deal of satisfaction!
Rolland Godin
This tennis veteran was classified as one of Canada’s ten best tennis players of Canada for 16 years. He even defeated Dennis Ralston and Arthur Ashe. Highly certified and with exceptional training in teaching tennis, this master has contributed greatly to the development of his sport. Rolland is in the forefront of Quebec tennis as a professional player, instructor and coach, club director and tennis events organizer. Member of the Canadian Davis Cup team,, president of the Quebec Veterans group for 25 years and an instructor with the first Committee for teaching tennis in Quebec, Rolland Godin will be the ideal partner to help you improve your game!
